Technical requirements for manuscripts submitted for publication

Size: Macedonian Review publishes scholar articles and studies between 15 and 40 pages, or approximately between 25,000 and 80,000 characters, formatted according to the requirements. The manuscripts should be submitted to the e-mail address makedonskipregled@gmail.com .
Format of the main text: Word format, Times New Roman font, 12 pt; 1.5 line spacing; approximately 1800 characters per page. In the case of specific articles using other rare fonts, authors should send the fonts used.

Elements of the article
The article consists of the following nine specific elements:
1. Title of the article in capital letters (14 pt.)
2. Name, surname and institutional affiliation of the author (the institution in which he works (or represents) (12 pt.)
3. Title of the article in capital letters in English (14 pt.)
4. Name, surname and institutional affiliation of the author in English (12 pt.)
5. Abstract in English: between 700 and 1500 characters (10 pt.). The text begins on the same line and has 1.15 line spacing.
Example:
Abstract: The first words of the text… (normal text, not italic, not bold, 10 pt.)
6. Keywords in English: 5-10 words (normal text, not italic, not bold, 10 pt.)

7. Main text of the article
Sources and scholar studies are cited in their original language in numbering from one to infinity, Times New Roman font, size 10, line spacing 1.0. The index for the note in texts published in Bulgarian is placed before the punctuation mark. In the articles that "Macedonian Review" publishes in English, the indices are placed after the punctuation mark. Тhey are cited in their original language.
Archival document: The archive, the collection, the inventory, the archival unit and the list are indicated.

Monograph: The author's name is indicated (in inversion - surname and personal name with initials), the exact title (according to the title page), place, publisher and year of publication and the cited page/pages. If the book is part of a series, it is indicated in parentheses.

Article in a journal: The author’s name is indicated (in inversion – surname and personal name with initials), the exact title, the journal (in italics), the anniversary, the number of the booklet, the year of publication in parentheses and the cited page/pages.

The author's name is fashioned by simultaneously using the Shift+Ctrl keys and pressing the Н key on the Bulgarian keyboard (K on the Roman-based keyboard).
Everywhere between numerals (centuries, years, pages, etc.) en dashes are used with a space between them. The en dash is typed by using the Ctrl key and pressing the – key (at second raw, far right of the keyboard). The pages of the Bulgarian publications are indicated by Cyrillic letter c, of the English or French publication – by the letter p. (if more than one page – pp.), and of German language publications – by the letter S.
When citing a publication for a second (or more) time, it is transmitted with a characteristic abbreviated title.

8. Bibliography
Full bibliographic data of the cited sources and studies in the main text are provided and listed in alphabetical order according to the English alphabet (size 10 pt.). The surname and full first name of the author are included here in inversion (in bold).
When citing publications in Cyrillic and other alphabets that are not based on the Latin, they are transliterated into English, and then the original is given in square brackets.
Transliteration from the Bulgarian language is carried out in accordance with the Bulgarian Transliteration Act, for which the site https://2cyr.com/?7 could be used. For transliteration of the letter ъ, the sign ӑ is used according to the scientific standard ISO 9.

Illustrations should be attached separately, with a resolution of 300 dpi, in jpg or tiff format, with an indicated place in the text. There should be a precise reference to the origin of the image. Copyright clearance is the responsibility of the author.
