Memory of the Presidents of the Macedonian Scientific Institute

On today’s Christian feast of the Holy Spirit – 5 June 2017 – which was celebrated by our ancestors after the First World War as Macedonia’s Day, the Macedonian Scientific Institute organizes for a second consecutive time commemorative events. 

By observing this church holiday, the Institute renewed its tradition to honor the memory of all who fought with weapons or ink for the liberation of Macedonia and its union with the Fatherland.  This year, the celebration is under the patronage of the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria – Mr. Krassimir Karakachanov. This is an important political recognition for the Institute which has been working for decades for the preservation of the Bulgarian national spirit in Macedonia. 

The Institute’s partner in the organization of the scientific conference “Memory of the Presidents of the Macedonian Scientific Institute” is the Institute of Historical Studies – BAS, directed by Assoc. Prof. Daniel Vachkov, PhD. The MSI accepts with gratitude the congratulations from the Chariman of the Union of Thracian Societies in Bulgaria – Mr. Krassimir Premyanov, the Bulgarian representative in the European Parliament Mr. Angel Dzhambazki, the Hungarian academic Dr. Csaba Zsebök, as well as the Presidents of the MSI who further developed its activity in contemporary conditions – Prof. DSc. Dimitar Gotsev and Prof. DSc. Trendafil Mitev.
