The article discusses the issue of the Bulgarian language spoken in Kosovo, based on the information about the dialect, the local and inhabitants’ names, as well as the population’s self-determination. Special attention is paid to the application of the definition „Bosnian” which, due to the political situation, is used to designate the national attribution of the population of Bulgarian origin.
